We all face tough times finding new things, unique things, things to do in Saudi Arabia. We rely a little too much on word-of-mouth to get a decent referral to places. I for one always rely on friends to find something I'm looking for. Whether its a bicycle, a bag, furniture...etc
It can be really hectic and involve a lot of running around, wasting time in traffic jams only to find the place is closed or doesn't have the item you're looking for. While we all enjoy window shopping, sometimes I prefer to just target something, buy it, and spend the rest of my afternoon lying on the sofa.
Anyways, here are some brilliant places I've stumbled upon that help the cause!
1) Amlik - Something for Everyone
I've recently come across this site, and it boasts a great number of categories of products. Quite easy to use and great filtration to find exactly what you're looking for. I tried selling on the site as well, very straight-forward. Only issue is the site provides classified listings and no e-commerce capabilities.
2) Jeddah Food
Great place for Jeddah locals to find restaurants with reviews. Also has lots of recipes for anyone looking to venture in the kitchen. Recommended if you're tired of visitings the same restaurant over and over again.
3) Bazaars and Haraj
Probably not the best option, but nevertheless great place to socialize and get a feel for the local culture. You will face some of the greatest sellers and bargainers out there. Start from the balad where you will find lots of souqs.
